Tech Wash
- Put clothing item in the washing machine
- Pour Nikwax Tech Wash into the detergent compartment
- Select normal wash program, start machine and complete rinse program
- Alternatively, use Nikwax simply in the hand wash basin.
- Hang to dry or tumble dry on a low temperature, provided the care instructions on the label allow it.
- Add medium to lukewarm water in the sink or in a bowl
- Rinse thoroughly under clear water.
A notice:
Tech Wash can be applied directly to fabrics before washing to remove dirt or grease stains.
Quantity indication (see label)
For cleaning 1–2 items, use 2 full caps (100 ml) in soft water or 3 full caps in hard water. The amount to be used depends on the condition and size of the items.
TX.Direct

- Always wash clothing items with Nikwax Tech Wash before reproofing.
- Before using a washing machine, remove any Nikwax detergent residues from the detergent drawer.

How often do I need to repeat the application?
Tech Wash
- Before reproofing, wash the item with Nikwax Tech Wash using the appropriate Nikwax reproofing agent. - Reproofed items can be washed 6 to 8 times with Nikwax Tech Wash before reproofing with the appropriate Nikwax reproofing agent is required.
TX.Direct
- After washing and reproofing the clothing, you can maintain its water-repellent properties by frequently washing it with Nikwax Tech Wash.
- After washing 6 to 8 times with Nikwax Tech Wash, re-impregnate with Nikwax TX.Direct.
- You do not have to wait for the garment to be completely dry after washing before re-impregnating it.
